SOLUTION TO DISEASE: A first aid kit can negate a single player's sickness, but it may spread to another person the following day, due to the spread of disease having a higher priority than the curing of disease between days. It appears on the list of a person's status effects as "Sick." It is visible on the characters, presenting as green or pale skin, red eyes, sweating and shaking. This state is lethal (death results from sickness in approximately 15 days, measured in part by the status changing from "sick" to "diseased") and communicable (other members of the family can become sick as a result of another's sickness). The only reason sickness is deemed worse than insanity is its ability to potentially wipe out the enire family, if left unchecked. Exposure is generally caused by contact with the world outside the shelter: scavenging trips, answering the door, consuming spoiled food or tainted water, et cetera, but may come from dangers within the shelter, such as encroaching cockroaches, poor hygiene, sick family members, et cetera. Disease:This is caused by an ambiguous microscopic threat, whether radiation or microbial disease. ![]()
